I was about to graduate from college and reflecting upon my life up to that point and also thinking about the possibilities the future may hold...
Lately I’ve been thinking what is life if not fun
I want to look back upon my past and be proud of what I’ve done
I let you slip through my hands but that’s just one of my mistakes
We must keep pressing on here we get no re-takes
Yesterday I felt lonely but today I feel alright
last night clouds were forming but this morning is clear and bright
Lately I’ve been playing music and settling down in my art
we must be wise in which things we choose and never return to where we start
The weather outside has been greying but I won’t let it keep me down
I cannot help but let a smile out every time I hear a beautiful sound
Lately I’ve been thinking I may be doing this for the last time
It’s sad but it’s true and I need to move further on down this line
I’ve got these dreams in my head that I may never realize
If that don’t happen may I be happy and remember to open my eyes
